Opening Gala for the 30th Anniversary Season of the Budapest Festival Orchestra
THE BUDAPEST FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA, praised by the New York Times as "the best orchestra on the planet", gave its very first concert 30 years ago in 1983. The 30th AnniversarySeason of 2013-2014 will be kicked off with an exclusive Season Opening Gala with Iván Fischerat the Museum of Applied Arts at 7 pm on the 15th September.
The evening will be honoured by Royal Patron Princess Michael of Kent, also by Neelie Kroes,Vice-President of the European Commission, Tibor Benedek, three times Olympic Champion, head coach of the National Water Polo Team and István Tarlós, Mayor of Budapest.
At this spectacular evening, members of the Orchestra would like to thank the friends and patrons of the orchestra for their dedication and support. We hope you join us for welcome cocktails, a gala dinner and to excellent musical performances.
I will definitely be there and truly hope to be joined by many of you. In case of at least ten Harvard Club member guests our very prestigious organization would hold a Harvard Club Hungary Table(individual donations of 50.000 HUF per person, or 800.000 HUF for a table of ten).
