As part of our Back to Your School initiative, the Harvard Club of Hungary proudly supported a special event on April 11, 2025: Professor Dr. Pál Maurovich-Horvat, Harvard alumnus, returned to his alma mater, Selye János Gymnasium in Komárno, to deliver an inspiring lecture to current students.
Our Back to Your School outreach program invites Harvard graduates to revisit the secondary schools that shaped them, sharing personal experiences and professional insights in order to inspire and empower new generations of students.
Professor Maurovich-Horvat’s lecture, “Cardiac CT Imaging and the Radiologist of Tomorrow,” attracted significant interest. Students engaged enthusiastically in the discussion, resulting in a thought-provoking exchange about the future of medical imaging and the path to a scientific career.
The leadership and faculty of Selye János Gymnasium hosted the event with exceptional care and hospitality. A local media outlet, DunaTáj, published a feature on the occasion, available at the following link:
“The Real Barrier Is You” – Dr. Pál Maurovich-Horvat’s Lecture at Selye Gymnasium
We extend our sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Pál Maurovich-Horvat for his time, dedication, and generosity, and to the community of Selye János Gymnasium for their warm welcome and exemplary collaboration.
The Back to Your School program will continue with further visits to secondary schools across Hungary.
